DarulIrshad Academy, one of several edu-blocks of the reputed Malabar Islamic Complex in Kasargod district, has been a beacon of hope by providing an exceptional education system with a specified curriculum under the well-known Darul Huda Islamic University. It is hell bent on taking over the task of augmenting a highly qualified and talented cluster from the community who can deal with the mounting challenges of the present world. The first and foremost aim of this construction is the upbringing of a bunch of well-equipped scholars trained in major world languages along with Islamic principles, values and customs. It is worth sharing that it could stand up to the goal with its parental institution Darul Huda by prospering and strengthening the revolutionary advancement Darul Huda made possible within three decades and now got its reach beyond the nation.
DarulIrshad Academy, situating its secondary and senior secondary section in Udma and the degree section in Chattanchal, is now the asylum of hundreds of students who are eager to imbibe the crux of knowledge and explore the various arts and sciences proposed by the system. Though MIC, run by Samastha Kerala Jam'iyyathul Ulama, has several separate institutions serving various purposes under the same banner, DarulIrshad is distinctive and extraordinary as it was the first and most productive offspring of it — its emergence was a big breakthrough for the literally back-trodden Muslim community, as it paved a new way of an explosive education system and a new style of thinking.
The initiative and development of the entire institution is highly indebted to the sincere contribution of many pious personalities, especially its founder father Qazi CM Abdulla, the former Qazi of Mangalore and former vice president of Samastha Kerala Jam'iyyathul Ulama, whose restless efforts against a relentless situation cemented the bricks of the complex. Not only his hard work on its physical structure, but his astonishing vision towards the mission too helped afford the growth to this much.
Now, after two successful decades, DarulIrshad has become one of the leading edu-hubs of Kasargod as its early products began blooming out since 2010, fulfilling established dreams and stretching hands to save the community to the fullest. There is no room for doubt that this institution will be a paradise of knowledge, paving light for upcoming generations too.

DarulIrshad Students' Association (DISA) is the official students' union for MICDIA students, established in 2003. It is dedicated to creating opportunities for students to engage in resourceful extracurricular activities. Over the years it has developed a successful modus operandi entitled IGNITE YOUR SPARKS. As part of it, several motivation classes, career counseling sessions, seminars and seasonal art fests have been conducted. Al Irshad magazine was a successful venture which prospered the creative writings of students. DISA gives priority to the social and educational involvement of students through a variety of programs in and out of the campus.
A grand program conducted once in two years in commemoration of late Sheikhuna CM Usthad. The seminar is studded with mainstream personalities from the social, political and educational sectors. Paper presentations and intellectual discussions on relevant topics are the main attractions.
The main artistic outing of DISA, which has earned applause from intellectuals and the public alike. Apart from students, public writers also use this magazine to vent their views. It has amassed a huge subscription, helping its circulation in and out of Kasaragod district.
An added feather to DISA devoted to publications. To date it has published the Qaseedathul Burda Malayalam Translation and astronomical studies of CM Usthad, plus Kasaragod Muslim History authored by Moin Malayamma Hudawi. Several projects are in the pipeline.
